A Legacy of Faith and Leadership
Elder Shontée has dedicated her life to ministry, having served alongside her late husband, Pastor DaShaun L. Blankenship. Together, they were married for 21 years until his passing into glory in 2023. Undeterred by this loss, Pastor Shontée continues to shepherd her flock in Posen, IL, where she empowers individuals to encounter the love of Christ and grow in their spiritual journeys.
A Heart for Prayer
Elder Shontée, a woman of prayer and faith, has a great love for the Lord Jesus and His truth. She believes that staying in prayer is where the mind of God for His church is revealed. Through prophetic revelation she inspirationally motivates, equips and uplifts all those she touches. Her desire is that every person be fully awakened to Jesus and flourish with power and purpose for kingdom living.
A Journey of Service
In 2007, Elder Shontée was called by God to serve as a licensed minister of the gospel and was ordained as an elder in 2012. Mentored by Pastor Gerald L. Glasper and Co-Pastor Toni Glasper at Rhema Word Kingdom Ministries, she began her ministry as a prayer intercessor and later embraced the prophetic calling. As an elder, she played a crucial role in training and ordaining emerging leaders in ministry.
Academic and Professional Background
Elder Shontée holds a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Illinois State University and a master's degree in social work from Loyola University. She currently serves at the Illinois Department of Early Childhood, where her compassion and expertise positively impact the lives of many.
